The current Louisiana Poet Laureate, Darrell Bourque, has launched a wonderful weekly series on Public Radio Station KRVS-FM in Lafayette, Louisiana–streamed live over the Internet on KRVS.org. Each Thursday at 3:20 PM or a few minutes later, you can hear Darrell read a poem by a Louisiana poet. He read my “Egrets” last Thursday, but coming up is wonderful work by Yusef Komunyakaa, David Kirby, and others. Here is the schedule through March 2011:
