Louisiana’s Lieutenant Governor Jay Dardenne has announced an event to celebrate National Poetry Month:  Just Listen to Yourself–The Louisiana Poet Laureate Presents Louisiana Poets.  The lunch hour poetry reading in downtown Baton Rouge will take place from 12 to 1:30 PM on Wednesday, April 13, at the State Library on the grounds of the State Capitol Building.  Julie Kane will be joining Louisiana Poet Laureate Darrell Bourque and other poets including Caroline Ancelet, Jack Bedell, Marilyn Burel, Sidney Creaghan, Charles deGravelles, Elizabeth Foos, Bonny McDonald, Alison Pelegrin, Brad Richard, and Chancelier Skidmore.   The program is free and open to the public, and attendees are welcome to bring their lunch and to come and go as necessary during the reading.  For more information, phone 225-342-9713.
